October 29, 2013 is the 1-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, and thousands of people are still struggling to recover. While much progress has been made, so much remains to be done. Sandy Levine has been covering the devastation and recovery in Ocean County, NJ since shortly after the storm. In the spring, a full documentary will premiere. A Canada Goose illegally shot with a bow and arrow arranges for his own emergency medical care by landing in the yard of Sandy Levine's father -- who just happens to be a veterinarian. This story became international news. The DEP netted the injured bird, Dr. Levine surgically removed the arrow and the bird rehabilitated at The Raptor Trust before being released back to the wild again. Runs 4:30.
